Oatmeal is a great option to treat redness and other skin problems such as sunburn, eczema etc. Also, its easy availability makes it a must try to eliminate redness. Just soak a tablespoon of oats in water or milk for a few minutes. Now apply it like a mask and wash off after 30 minutes.
Cold has anti-inflammatory abilities and it can tame redness by cooling and soothing the skin. Take a piece of soft fabric, run it under tap water and place it in the freezer for a few minutes. Then place the fabric on the redness until it reaches room temperature.
Coconut oil is one of the most versatile product anyone can every use. It acts as a natural moisturizer and bring down the redness caused by dry skin. Even if the reason behind your redness isn’t dryness, coconut oil will still feel soothing to your skin. You can apply coconut oil all over your face or just the over the redness.
Aloe Vera has a very cooling and soothing effect on skin. The anti-inflammatory properties help reduce the redness. You can either use Aloe Vera plant or the gel. Just massage the gel in gently and you’ll notice your skin will feel better gradually.
Over The Counter (OTC) creams

To make this paste, take half an aspirin and crush it in a bowl. Now add water to bring it to a paste like consistency. Apply it only on the redness and let it sit for 30 minutes. It is stuffed with anti-inflammatory agents and helps constrict the blood vessels in your skin, eventually toning down the redness. So just soak some green tea in boiling water and when it cools down, apply it on your face using a cotton pad.
