SKIN CARE TIPS USING HONEY

Facial Scrub

Mix a teaspoon each of rosewater and honey along with finely ground almonds and lemon juice (just a few drops).  Use this paste to scrub the face for a radiant clear complexion.

 

Honey Cucumber Toner

Honey Cucumber TonerTake a whole cucumber and blend to make puree.  Filter to make juice and to the puree add a couple of teaspoons of honey. Transfer the contents to an airtight glass jar tightly sealed. Store it in a refrigerator. When required apply the mixture on the face, (not forgetting the neck area though) with the use of cotton pads, twice a day – during the day and at night.  Allow it to dry and cleanse it with water. The stored contents may be preserved for a week in the refrigerator.

Mild Honey Cleanser

Indulge skin for a complete cleansing by mixing a few drops of glycerine and a tablespoon of liquid soap to ¼ cup of honey.  Gently apply on skin using a soft cloth, and cleanse with tepid water.

 

Moisturizing Lotion

To combat dry and dark patches on the elbows mix a teaspoon each of olive oil and honey along with ½ a teaspoon of lemon juice.  Apply on the affected area and sponge down after fifteen minutes.

 

Firming Mask

Beat an egg white until fluffy, together with ¼-cup flour, a tablespoon each of glycerine and honey.  Apply on the face and keep it on for fifteen minutes before a final wash with warm tepid water.

 

This, besides making your skin firm, will also reduce the pores preventing premature ageing.

 

Face Mask with Turmeric and Honey

Turmeric
and honey create an excellent combo for imparting fair flawless complexion.  One teaspoon each of raw honey and turmeric formed to a thick paste help eliminate scars and blemishes making the skin supple soft and glowing.

 

For Sensitive/ Dry Skin

Mix a teaspoon each of honey, hazelnuts chopped and yogurt, with a few drops of olive oil, to form a creamy base.  Apply on the face without massaging and allow it to soak for about ten minutes. Clean with lukewarm water.

 

For Oily Skin

Take the same (above) ingredients in the same ratio as for sensitive and dry skin.  Replace olive oil with a few drops of lemon juice. Mix these ingredients and apply on the face for ten minutes. Then rinse with tepid water. It imparts a natural radiance and helps combat scars, pimples and acne. This treatment is very effective, due to the astringent properties present in lemon.

 

Moisturizing Pack using Honey

Mix and apply over the throat and neck, two tablespoons each of milk and honey. Allow it for fifteen minutes. Wash with lukewarm water followed by a cold-water douse.

 

Nourishing Facemask

Puree half a banana. To this add a teaspoon of honey and two teaspoons of yogurt Mix well and apply on the face.  Leave it on for ten minutes and sluice with lukewarm water.

 

Face Wash

Combine Honey with sandalwood powder, turmeric powder, and milk for a great face wash.  According to personal preferences substitute rosewater with milk, or better still use both fluids for a gorgeous-looking immaculate skin.

 

Natural Facial Bleach

Take two tablespoons each of honey and tomato pulp. Mix thoroughly and leave on the face for about fifteen or twenty minutes, before a final cleanse with cold water.
