6 Natural Ways to Treat Candida Infections

Candida is a yeast infection caused by excessive production of fungi known as Candida Albicans. These generally coexist with other friendly flora in the gut called probiotics. However, due to various factors like a weak immune system, the gut becomes vulnerable to accumulation of bad bacteria, which gradually move on to other parts of the body. Home Remedies for Candida

Taking about two to four grams of raw minced garlic everyday proves useful. Yogurt filled with natural probiotics compounds, lactobacillus acidophilus, encourages the friendly bacteria in the gut, preventing the attack of bad bacteria and destroying the existing ones by forming a protective layer on the digestive tract. Therefore, taking yogurt as part of a healthy meal helps prevent Candida infections. For vaginitis, placing a cotton wad, soaked in yogurt does a world of good.

Tea Tree Oil           

A natural antifungal with antiseptic substances, tea tree oil makes a wonderful remedy for treating infections. Apply a few drops of tea tree oil on the affected area for positive results. For oral candidiasis, gargle a glass of water mixed with a few prevents the infection, as the oral cavity is most vulnerable to toxins. Aloe Vera

Consisting of powerful antibacterial elements, Aloe Vera aids liver detox and minimises the adverse reactions that normally occur with the infection. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil consists of potent anti Candida properties as the lauric and caprylic acids work as strong antifungal substances to help eliminate Candida infections. Hence applying coconut oil on the affected area twice or thrice a day provides relief. In addition, take three tablespoons of coconut oil every day until the infection clears.


Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

Drinking a glass of water mixed with a tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar before each meal restricts the overgrowth of yeast infections in the intestines and destroys them. Apart from this, ACV also helps stabilise pH and encourages friendly flora in the gut enhancing digestive health and overall immunity. As an alternative, use the same solution as a douche to ease the symptoms. However, it is imperative to use caution as excessive usage can unsettle the body’s pH factors and worsen the condition.
